Halal Institute is an organization in Prince of Songkla University, aimed to promote the expansion of various businesses related to the food industry, products and services according to Halal standards This is achieved through research, development, and the transfer of production technology and business practices within the halal industry. Additionally, the institute works to foster comprehensive readiness across all aspects of the halal industry.

Is to emerge as a leading institution of Islamic corridor in ASEAN. Driving and upgrading an intergraded Halal system that attains global recognition.

1. Develop manpower to support Halal food and service industries in Thailand.
2. Promote research and innovation in Halal food, products, and services.
3. Encourage and support comprehensive processes for Thai Halal standard certification.
4. Drive the establishment and certification of Tayyiban standards for health.
5. Build Halal cooperation network within Thailand and overseas.

The Halal Institute operates activities according to the strategy in 4 areas, consisting of

1. Manpower Development
  Emphasize on human resource development and enhancing the capabilities of personnel in the Halal sector through short-term training courses such as ‘Halal System Management’ and other courses that align with the future needs of businesses.
2. Research and Innovation
  Develop Halal food production technology, including innovation and service models, as well as conduct research to elevate Halal standards.

  Provide consultation and comprehensive verification for the Halal certification process, enabling business owners to apply for Halal certification easily. Drive the establishment of exemplary Halal spa learning centers and educational hubs for interested entrepreneurs.
4. Networking with Other Organizations
  both Locally and Internationally
  In particular, the Muslim world, to build confidence in the Halal certification system in Thailand through human capacity development and scientific analysis in the field of Halal.
