Area or cluster sampling technique was used in this research in which 398 high school students and 323 entrepreneurs and worker were selected. In addition, 15 people were interviewed and 8 were included in focus group. This study found that over 80 percent of students are female, 17-19 years old and Muslims. 41.2 percent of them know that there is undergraduate program in Halal in universities in Thailand and oversea. 57.8 percent are interested to enroll in undergraduate programme in Halal at Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Pattani Campus, should it offer this program of study. Moreover, 53.3 percent \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 of these students want to enroll themselves in Halal Science. The mean of the students&#8217; response is 3.45. However, the students are not certain about the future career and good career prospect mean of 3.28 and 3.40 respectively. As for entrepreneurs and workers in 5 southern border provinces of Thailand, over than 50 percent are male working at governmental and private agencies. 66.9 percent of them are Muslims, 33.7 percent are middle-aged and 50.8 have a bachelor degree. 60.7 of them work in a unit dealing with Halal certification. 22.0 percent stated s of manufacturing firms deal with Halal issues and 11.0 percent are dealt by policy and planning analysts. 67.2 percent of the respondents indicated that the internal staffs who are responsible for Halal standard are not graduates of Halal programs. Over 70 percent of the respondents are of the opinion that having graduates of Halal will benefit their offices In 3-5 years these graduates will be needed for Halal industrial development in Thailand. Moreover, Halal curriculum should provide the graduates with Halal knowledge in various fields and should also focus on Halal science due to the lack of the human resource in this area However, other knowledge including knowledge on Islamic law (Shariah) is also important. The interview results show that study Halal curriculum is needed at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) However, there are concerns on job prospects.
