current practice and future trends of Halal-compliant hotels in Thailand. The objective is to 1) study and analyze the satisfaction of the service quality of the customers who using the hotel according to the Halal principles in Thailand 2) study and assess the awareness of the meaning of the Halal-compliant 3) study and analyze the Halal-compliant hotel style in Thailand. 4) study and analyze the marketing strategies that the Thai Halal-compliant hotel use at the present time. 5) find a suitable model for the development of Halal-compliant Hotels in Thailand. This research was conducted by using questionnaires for both Thai and foreign Muslim tourists who visited Bangkok, Chiangmai, Surat Thani, Krabi, Phang Nga, Phuket, Songkhla, Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani. The sample consists of Muslim 400 tourists for questionnaires and 28 owners\/managers of the Halal-compliant hotel for in-depth interviews. The results of the study showed that the sample was more than half are Thai (93.5%) and Malaysian nationality (6.5%). The majority of the respondents are Sunni (97.5%) and the remaining are Shiah (2.5%). The most important reason for the customers to decide to stay at the hotel is because it is a Halal-compliant hotel (48.8%), followed by advice from tour companies (21.8%) and friends \/ relatives recommend. After staying in the hotel, it was found that 95% of the sample decided to stay at this hotel again in the future and will recommend friends \/ relatives (92.3%). This study is measuring service quality by adapting from SERVQUAL &#8211; a perceived service quality questionnaire methodology. The research evaluates the satisfaction of the respondents by analyzing the difference between the expectation levels before they stay and the perception after their stay. Through gap analysis gap score is calculated by subtracting the perception score from expectation score. We found that the customers were generally satisfied with the quality of service<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13.999999999999998pt; font-family: Kanit,sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: bold; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13.999999999999998pt; font-family: Kanit,sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">The difference between expectation and perceived quality of service of each dimension is positive with the average perception higher than the expectation equal to 0.30. From the qualitative data analysis, it is found that the hotel operators are aware of the meaning of the Halal-compliant hotel differently. All the 28 Halal-compliant hotels are listed as hotels for Muslim tourists. General hotel facilities and services of Halal-compliant hotels in Thailand are no different from other general hotels. Besides when studying the services and facilities according to the full Halal principles of Halal-compliant hotels in Thailand, it is found that the services and facilities according to the full Halal principles that more than 15 hotels provide services to customers, including 1) the restaurant conforms to Halal principles and provides halal food 2) water and sanitation services according to Halal standards 3) prayer areas 4) religious services 5) most of the staff are Muslims 6) the hotel employees behave according to Islamic principles and 7) the dress code of the employees are covered in accordance with the principles of religion. In-room amenities at the Halal-compliant hotels in Thailand, are mostly the same as for general hotels, including bathroom amenities, Air-conditioning, cable TV, flat-screen TV, telephone, non-smoking room, free bottled water, in-room safe, shower and refrigerator. Services and amenities based on full halal principles within the hotel room,\u00a0 including 1) the bathroom has a sink 2) there are carpets for prayer in the room and 3) an arrow pointing to the location of Mecca in every hotel room. For the financial principles, there are 7 hotels that use investment capital according to the Shariah principle and 4 hotels take part of profits to zakat annually. There are other aspects according to Halal principles, such as, 28 hotels do not have gambling and 9 hotels do not use statues or images of people and animals.<\/span><\/p><p><b style=\"font-weight:
