pre-wrap;\">This research study is a study of Malaysian Muslim tourists\u2019 behavior and their access to Halal food in the south of Thailand, which is a survey research applying Purposive Sampling Technique. There were 400 Malaysian Muslim tourists and 40 catering entrepreneurs as research samples of this study, and they were interviewed in the period of December 2012-April 2013. The findings present that 52.8 percent of Malaysian Muslim tourists are female with an average age of 33.07 years old, and 54.3 percent of them graduated at Bachelor degree level and mostly work as government officials, state enterprise employees or business owners with average monthly income at 11,667.55 Ringgit. They come to Songkhla to relax or recreate approximately 2.44 times a month by car or private motorcycle, or they might sometimes use travel agent\u2019s bus service respectively. The most attractive activity in Songkhla is shopping at the shopping center and department stores; in addition, there are a lot of new places, beautiful natural places, local food, nightclubs\/pubs and historic sites in Songkhla province where they are interested to visit while some of them come to do their personal tasks and other purposes. The findings also reveal that 94.2 percent of Malaysian Muslim tourists have ever seen or known Thai Halal trademark, and 48.0 percent of them believe that the Thai food they always eat is Halal food. However, 13.0 of the Malaysian Muslim tourists think that it is very difficult to find Halal food in Songkhla and 32.0 percent of them moderately agree that brand and names of the shops are enough to see if the eaten food is Halal. Furthermore, 34.5 percent of them always have meals at Muslim restaurant even though there is no Halal certificate or document presented there. In terms of factors influencing on decision to buy Halal food, it indicates that the factor influencing on the Malaysian Muslim tourists\u2019 decision the most is food taste, following by a variety of food list, food freshness and quality, correctness of order list, speed of service, cleanliness of food and container, friendliness of staff \u2013 politeness and willing to give services, trust towards Halal trademark, language and communication skills of staff, beautiful places, good atmosphere, etc. respectively. In terms of professional difficulty, it indicates that the catering entrepreneurs have faced with qualified staff recruitment the most, and other inferior factors are waste management of government sector, prayer room arrangement and lack of administrative management knowledge. In 2015 Thailand got 550,242,600 Baht as government\u2019s revenue from selling Halal food to Malaysian tourists. As a result, this research study suggests that there should be an encouragement of marketing opportunity by increasing trust of Malaysian Muslim tourists towards Halal food, improvement of food taste
